...Yet
another way animals work as healers can be discovered in Animal
Voices by Dawn Baumann Brunke. A holistic health practitioner and
magazine editor, Brunke moved to Alaska a number of years ago and
found new directions as well as a new home there. Through a magazine
article assignment, Brunke came into contact with animal
communicators. Intrigued, she explored the field and, much to her
amazement, began telepathically communicating with domestic and wild
animals herself.
Drawn to the
lessons the animals were teaching her, the author set out to explore
the subject in depth in Animal Voices, an innovative and
thorough study of animal communication.
Moving beyond memoir and manual, Animal Voices allows a
selection of animals to share their wisdom through interviews with
over twenty professional communicators.
The lessons
Brunke and others pass on from the animals range from those of
personal spiritual growth to ones of environmentalism and healing on a
global level. In addition, Brunke weaves myth, animal rights issues,
and other topics not usually covered in animal communication books
into Animal Voices, making it a fresh and ground-breaking work.
